Xtraction Grade Butane™

99.5%+    BTX Free - Odorless - 3rd Party Analyzed

Veratex's Xtraction Grade Butane™ is the highest purity Butane produced in the US for the extraction market. We start with high purity fractionation, refining the non-odorized Butane to 99.5%+ purity. We then further process the Xtraction Grade Butane™ to remove any residual moisture and eliminate all sulfur compounds that can be naturally occurring in NGL's. Once we complete the second cleaning we load the processed Butane into dedicated non-odorized clean transports. Once loaded in the transport we pull a sample analyzing purity, moisture, sulfur compounds, BTX. Only when the 3rd party analytical verifies that the Butane meets the high standards of Xtraction Grade™ is it then transferred into bulk storage or dispatched for bulk delivery. Veratex's Xtraction Grade Butane™ is a proprietary Butane not distributed by any other gas supplier within the United States.

n-Butane is a colorless gas that, unlike the first three alkanes, is very soluble in water. The principal raw materials for its production are petroleum and liquefied natural gas. It forms an explosive and flammable mixture with air at low concentrations. Its main uses in industry are as a raw material in the production of butadiene and acetic acid. It is also used as a domestic fuel, as a gasoline blending component, as a solvent and as a refrigerant.

Butane is a major constituent of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and as such, it is increasingly stored in liquefied form at low temperatures in specially adapted natural underground caverns. Its physical characteristics are listed below:
